We met backstroke World Record holder Liam Tancock today to talk to him about this year's Charnwood Borough Sports Awards.
Last year 5or6 MD Peter Simmons presented Liam with his award at the 2009 Charnwood Sports Awards, so we caught up today to interview him about what the Charnwood Sports Awards can do for the local community before he heads off to the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
The interview and footage captured will be used for this year's Charnwood Sport's Awards video. The Awards will takes place on Wednesday 6th December at the town hall in Loughborough, for more information on the awards visit http://www.charnwood.gov.uk/pages/charnwoodsportsawards.

"It is fantastic for the council and the community to recognise sporting achievements in Charnwood from Olympic athletes to local sports clubs" - Peter Simmons (photo second from the left) 5or6 Managing Director
The event was something that we actively seeked to be involved in due to our background in sport and sports design, and felt that it was a great event for the borough and for the county of Leicestershire, as it showed the dept in sporting talent we have here.

An evening with Graeme Swann

Last night we went to an event at Ilkeston Town Football club, 'An evening with Graeme Swann'. For the event we produced the posters and promotional video which aired at the event before Graeme took to the stage. The evening went well, and the video went down a storm (if I do say so myself!), with Graeme stealing the DVD at the end of the night!

5or6 have won the battle of the tenders to produce the branding, programme design, ticket design and videos for the Charwood Sports Awards 2009. The event will take place on Monday the 2nd of November and will be used to showcase the large amount of sporting talent with in the borough. Awards include senior team of the year, young sportsman of the year and University sportsman of the year. Individuals within the borough have been asked nominate individuals and teams to be shortlisted for the event over the last few months.
Over the course of the next month we will be working hard to make the evening as special as we can by providing the best design possible, we will keep you up to date with everything involved and let you know the winners when they are announced at the event.
